The pad foam like the mesh heads do receive the most wear and tear and are highly subject to the rule that everything wears out eventually which is simply a rule of the universe that mankind may never conquer, so we provide our drummers with a solution to that eventuality. This new foam was introduced in July of 2006 and it successfully reduces the hot spot that up till then had been an issue with some of our drummers. This new foam also happens to make the position sensing of Pintech drums on the Roland TD12 and TD20, quote "Phenomenal" as stated by several of our drummers. *As this will be installed by a non-trained individual there is no inherent warranty. Customers install these at their own risk. Pintech always recommends that the Pintech product be sent in for repair by a licensed professional. However, we also recognize that sometimes that just isn't an option for our drummers. We do try to make things as simple as possible for our drummers and if you handle the triggers with the appropriate care and follow the instructions, you shouldn't have any problems.
