If you have the old style CKV that was stuffed full of foam, the feel of your bass is going to change some. You will want to invest in the Bass Head Saver to reduce that change, and have that more solid feel that you may be used to.
How long the triggers last is a function directly proportional to the drummers playing style. Electronics are delicate and do not need to be beat like an acoustic drum to acquire a louder sound, which is a function of the programming in the module and not a function of hitting the drum as hard as you can. We protect the electronics as well as possible considering placement also determines sensitivity. However, everything fails eventually that is simply a rule of the universe that mankind may never conquer, so we provide our drummers with a solution to that eventuality.
*As this will be installed by a non-trained individual there is no inherent warranty. Customers install these at their own risk. Pintech always recommends that the Pintech product be sent in for repair by a licensed professional. However, we also recognize that sometimes that just isn't an option for our drummers. We do try to make things as simple as possible for our drummers and if you handle the triggers with the appropriate care and follow the instructions, you shouldn't have any problems
