The controller mounts on the bottom of your stand connecting to the pedal part of the stand so the set up can function as a traditional hi hat. This trigger cymbal features a quiet playing surface, excellent tracking, and superior dynamics. Authentic acoustic looks and feel with cutting-edge electronic response! Plays just like an acoustic hi-hat. Mounts on standard hi-hat stand, and has a completely rubber-coated playing surface to reduce stick noise. It requires a modification by us here at the factory to function and then it is still tricky to configure. If you have that module you need to contact us directly for your order so that we can make the appropriate modification. However, be aware that Yamaha changed something between the Express III and Express IV that caused this to be incompatible. Not being sure what that is we haven't been able to make the controller work as well as it does on the other Yamaha modules.
